Who Killed Gandhi? is an investigation into the conspiracy behind Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination. A companion piece to the documentary film, the iPad app is a historical interactive documentary retracing the intersecting paths of Gandhi, gun man Nathuram Godse and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Godse’s guru.

From the birth of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in 1869 to the death of the assassin, users explore the question: how did Gandhi die? by navigating a chronological timeline and map of these three men’s lives and deaths, discovering where, when & why key events took place leading to Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination.

Archival and original film, photography, animation, audio and maps take users from undivided India to England, France and South Africa, on a journey along the intersecting paths and clashing ideas of Gandhi, Savarkar and Godse, within the context of what was happening in mid-20th Century India and the world.
